south west of St. Catherine's lighthouse. Mayday heard on
CH 16 with vessel taking on water and red flare fired. 1
casualty on board who had abandoned vessel into lift
raft. Port au Spain responded to mayday and recovered
casualty in his life raft. Yarmouth lifeboat arrived on
scene to collect debris in the water as the vessel
subsequently sank. Casualty returned to Portsmouth safe
and well. Very little pollution reported on surface of
